Haircuts that Deserve their Own Walk-Up Music: Sport Clips’ New Brand Creative Makes Guys the Stars of the Show

Stone Ward’s relationship with Sport Clips Haircuts has spanned more than a decade. The agency began working with the budding franchise with 400 stores in 2007, and recently helped the brand celebrate its 1,700th store opening.

Now one of the fastest-growing franchise systems today, ranked in the top 10 in Entrepreneur’s “Franchise 500,” the agency helped Sport Clips refresh its brand creative this year to be more reflective of its modern and upbeat business approach. A creative brainstorming summit with both teams and months of planning led to a new creative strategy that features bold visuals and energetic music to promote Sport Clips’ guy-smart stylists, sports-centric atmosphere and, of course, incredible service.

Four 30-second television commercials targeting 18-34 year-olds are now running across national media platforms, including an all-star placement in one of the final games of the World Series, where the Houston Astros came away victorious for the first time in franchise history. Filmed in Little Rock, the spots were shot by the agency’s in-house broadcast production team, 360 Filmworks, and included 41 actors, 12 subcontracted crew members and an agency team of eight.
