LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 31, 2023) – Lea Whitlock, Stone Ward public relations manager, was recently recognized by The Arkansas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America for earning her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), the “gold standard” for communications professionals. She is among the 20 percent of the PRSA’s membership to have earned this accreditation.
The accreditation process includes a presentation of a campaign portfolio to APR panelists who then determine a candidate’s readiness to take the computer-based examination administered by the Universal Accreditation Board.
“Lea is a true PR professional in every way and has earned the trust of our clients and her agency coworkers,” says Stone Ward President Millie Ward. “I’ve been through the APR process and know well the dedication to the profession it takes to attain this accreditation. We’re so proud of her and for her and applaud Lea for adding this to her many accomplishments.”
Whitlock works with Stone Ward clients and team members to plan and implement creative public relations strategies. She earned a BA in public relations from the University of Central Arkansas and is certified in Crisis Communication Management through the Institute for Crisis Management. Whitlock is passionate about building good for her clients and communities and serves on committees for Arkansas Community Foundation and Home For Healing and has previously volunteered with other causes like the Buffalo National River Partners, Create Little Rock’s Pop Up in the Rock, and Little Rock’s Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.
