For the 2015 Women’s World Cup, Stone Ward and U.S. Soccer created a marketing plan that sought to further strengthen the special bond between the fans and the team using social media, in-stadium, events and every contact point available. From the design of the team’s locker rooms that included inspirational messages from fans to the #SheBelieves campaign that empowered young girls to pursue their dreams, Stone Ward has helped bring fans and team closer together. During the World Cup on a typical game day, Stone Ward would produce over 100 designs for social media to excite, inform, and inspire fans. The most satisfying of all designs was at the end of the World Cup final, when we could add the third star above the crest and place it next to the word: “Champions."
