Walker and Stone
LITTLE ROCK, AR (March 4, 2008) — Stone Ward has launched an in-house video production company and named Tommy Walker, a 23-year veteran in broadcast production and the agency’s Director of Broadcast Production for eight years, to manage it. Branded as 360 Filmworks, the new division’s capabilities include film and video production, editing, audio, animation and graphics.
Housed on the fourth floor of Stone Ward at 225 E. Markham in the River Market District of downtown Little Rock, 360 Filmworks has its own editing suite, a recording studio, cameras and a full range of video equipment.
Stone Ward CEO/Executive Creative Director Larry Stone said the agency had previously done some in-house video production, but the establishment of 360 Filmworks takes the agency’s video production capabilities to a new and expanded level.
“We’ve already found the investment to be a wise one, with 360 Filmworks producing three national television commercials that aired during the holidays. Our clients are appreciating such value-added benefits as cost efficiencies, greater speed, more flexibility and the luxury of having its agency creative and production team under one roof,” Stone said.
360 Filmworks has also produced several local and regional television commercials, employee videos, meeting videos and business development videos.
“There will still be occasions for us to contract with production companies and independent contractors. Whatever best enhances the final creative product is the guiding rule,” Stone added.
Stone said that video has become the medium of choice, noting that hundreds of millions are viewed daily on You Tube alone.
“The proliferation of screens via television, computers, Mp4 players, and cell phones have made video universally available,” Stone said. “Marketers will need to keep pace and make video an increasingly important part of their conversations with consumers.”
Stone has been nationally recognized for his accomplishment in film production, while Walker was named by Producer Magazine in 2002 as one of America’s top 100 producers. Walker has worked with Academy Award winning directors Sydney Pollack, Joel Schumacher and Francis Ford Coppola on movies like The Firm, A Time To Kill and The Rainmaker. Stone and Walker will guide the growth and development of 360 Filmworks. The new division’s work can be seen at 360.Stoneward.com.
